Photography Meets Urban Space at Werksviertel Mitte
In the heart of Munich’s Werksviertel Mitte – home to Der Greif Studio – we collaborated with Werksviertel Mitte Kunst to install five large-scale photo banners by Ania Rolińska, Blandine Soulage, Greg C. Holland, Lola Flash and Yuxi Wang.
Titled “Le/bens/freu/de” – German for “zest for life” – the intervention brings visual storytelling into public space, transforming building façades into moments of reflection and surprise.
Curated from Der Greif’s global open call archive, the selected works speak to identity, resilience, joy and movement – themes that resonate with Werksviertel’s evolution as a creative district blending work, culture and urban renewal.
For partners in real estate, hospitality and city development, the project shows how photography can activate overlooked surfaces, shape emotional landmarks, engage diverse communities and ultimately extend brand narratives beyond logos.
Now also featured in a regional TV segment, this collaboration illustrates how globally sourced, artist-led interventions can create lasting cultural value – one image at a time.
